Read MoreHide Full Article

Key Takeaways

  • CCEP has rallied 13.9% in four weeks, nearing its 52-week high amid strong growth in key beverage categories.
  • Sports, energy and zero-sugar volumes rose 12%, 19% and about 10%, respectively, in the first half of 2026.
  • CCEP's 21.3X forward P/E exceeds the industry, while rising costs and affordability pressures pose risks.

Coca-Cola Europacific Partners plc (CCEP - Free Report) has gained 13.9% in the past four weeks, extending a rally that has put the stock near its 52-week high. The question is whether operating momentum can keep supporting the advance.

Faster-growing beverage categories, broader distribution and Southeast Asian expansion strengthen the growth case. Valuation, affordability pressures and rising costs make further gains more dependent on execution.

CCEP’s Faster-Growth Categories Add Momentum

CCEP is getting more growth from categories beyond traditional sparkling beverages. In the first half of 2026, sports volumes rose 12%, energy volumes increased 19% and zero-sugar volumes advanced about 10%. Innovation across Coke Zero, Powerade and new pack formats is widening the range of consumption occasions.

Monster grew at roughly twice the energy category rate, while Monster Ultra volumes climbed more than 50%. Monster Beverage Corporation (MNST - Free Report) also reported a 20.2% increase in second-quarter 2026 net sales, reinforcing the broader strength of the energy segment.

CCEP’s Distribution Push Supports Volume Growth

The company added more than 80,000 coolers in the first half, lifting its cooler base about 5%. Greater cold availability can support immediate-consumption occasions, while wins with Domino’s in Australia, Parkdean Resorts and Papa Johns in Great Britain widen customer reach.

Keurig Dr Pepper Inc. (KDP - Free Report) offers another example of beverage growth supported by volume and pricing. Its second-quarter 2026 U.S. Refreshment Beverages net sales rose 10%, with volume and mix up 6.5% and net price realization up 3.5%.

CCEP’s Southeast Asia Business Builds Scale

Southeast Asia is becoming a larger part of CCEP’s growth story. First-half volumes in the region increased at a solid mid-single-digit rate, while revenues advanced 9% on an FX-neutral basis.

The Philippines maintained solid momentum, including double-digit Coca-Cola Zero Sugar growth, while Indonesia’s sparkling portfolio returned to growth. A new Philippines production facility remains scheduled to start operations in 2027, adding capacity for future demand and supporting the region’s longer-term scale.

CCEP’s Valuation Could Limit Further Upside

The rally has made valuation less forgiving. CCEP trades at 21.3X forward 12-month earnings, above the soft-drink sub-industry’s 20.1X and well above its own five-year median of 16.7X.

The stock is also close to its five-year valuation high of 21.5X. That premium does not rule out additional gains, but it raises the operating bar as investors weigh stronger category growth against consumer affordability and cost pressures.

CCEP’s Mixed Signals Temper the Rally Case

The near-term setup is balanced by a solid operating backdrop and a demanding valuation. CCEP still expects 2026 comparable FX-neutral revenue growth of 3-4% and operating-profit growth of about 7%, but cost of sales per unit case is expected to rise about 1.5% for the year.

The stock currently carries a Zacks Rank #4 (Sell). Its Growth Score of B supports the longer-term growth profile, while the Value Score of D, Momentum Score of C and VGM Score of C are less favorable. The combination suggests investors should weigh CCEP’s operating progress against valuation and near-term estimate-revision trends rather than assume the recent rally will continue at the same pace.
